Steen is een materiaal dat we normaal associeren met zware vloeren of blokken rotsen enzo. We denken hier niet onmiddelijk aan hoge presaties, licht gewicht en flexibele skis. Hier komt echter verandering in.
Zai Skis in Zwitserland heeft de “Zai Spada” ski ontwikkeld. Deze skis bestaan uit carbon vezels en steen, gemaakt van het speciale Grisons graniet uit de Calancatal vallei.
Ze zien er allesinds heel speciaal uit:
